Quality of life of children after oncological treatment
LUNDÁKOVÁ, Magdaléna
Cancer in childhood age comprises less than 1% of all diagnosed cancer cases. But is significant, because the childhood cancer is second in mortality, just after accidents. A theoretical part of the study characterizes childhood cancer and its treatment and introduces the term "quality of life". Two goals are set in this work. The first objective is to map the "quality of life" in cancer survivals. The second objective is to analyze how "the attitude towards life" is changed after cancer treatment and whether it differs from healthy children. In this thesis, a quantitative research was used. The standardized SF - 36 questionnaire "on quality of life conditioned by health" and the socio - demographic questionnaire WP 6 - socio - demographic data were used. Three hypotheses were established. H1: "Childhood cancer survivals appreciate their health more than children who did not go through any cancer treatment." H2: "Childhood cancer survivals suffer from cognitive disabilities in comparison to children who did not go through cancer treatment." H3: "Childhood cancer survivals have a more positive relationship to themselves than children who did not go through cancer treatment." The results of this research reveal that young cancer survivors have a similar quality of life as their healthy peers. This thesis should approach the quality of life of children after cancer treatment. The study will be presented at a Professional conference.

Cibulková, Jana ; Váchová, Alena (advisor) ; Kučírek, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis discusses alternative diets. The theoretical part of the work clarifies the possible reasons leading to the decision to eat an alternative diet, and also gives the forms of alternative diet and the possible risks arising from these diets, early human development is described here along with the diet during its individual periods. The practical part of the thesis, which was realised using the questionnaire survey method, endeavours to establish how much knowledge women have about alternative diets and also discusses the issue of preference of an alternative diet. The performed survey found that alternative diets are not significantly widespread among the respondents and therefore knowledge about them is insufficient, unfortunately even respondents who actually feed their children an alterative diet lack knowledge. On the basis of the established information a lecture was held on the topic of alternative diets, the purpose of which was to clarify the basic facts about alternative diets and spread knowledge about them.

Injuries of children at home
POCHYLÁ, Petra
The theoretical part of this thesis is oriented at an actual issue of accidents involving children in home environment, their prevention and a correct provision of first aid by a non-professional at these types of selected accidents. The practical part of this thesis was led by a qualitative form of research, a method of a semicontrolled interview. The interview given was led by chosen caring people, who gave first aid to children with a home environment injury. The whole process of the interview was recorded at a digital record book and then rewritten to a text form, with the approval of the respondents. The respondents were chosen on the basis of a survey. The final information from the interviews were analyzed and subsequently summarized into results. Six respondents were registered into the research part. Six basic questions were given to the respondents. The questions were chosen to find out information about an injured child, an injury character, a procedure of caring person while giving first aid, or other professional care and permanent effects. While preparing the research part, I was expecting that most of the respondents would manage to give first aid, however, according to the results, half of the parents didn't know how to deal with giving first aid. Non- professional first aid, provided at the right time and done correctly, is one of the basic and essential steps to reverse the injured person back into the normal quality of life. This is why, all people should be able to give first aid without special equipment and tools. The aim of my thesis was to monitor the process of the caring person while giving first aid for selected accidents involving children in home environment. I gave myself one fundamental research question: What was the process of the caring person while giving first aid for accidents involving children in home environment? At the final evaluation and comparison of my results, I achieved the results, in most examined facts, which are presented in other different studies dealing with similar issues- children's injuries and giving first aid for accidents involving children.

Injuries and specifications of selected types of injuries are also mentioned. Finally in this section the terms such as events for children and a recreational activities medic are defined. The legislation related to organizing these events is also covered. The practical part of the thesis presents the research part. For the research part the form of quantitative research, an interviewing technique, the method of anonymous questionnaires was used. Questionnaires were distributed to organizers of 30 events for children in the district of Jinřichův Hradec. The research data were processed into charts for clarity purposes. The research objective was to monitor the health care at events for children and to determine the competence and level of medical supervision. The results have proved that the objectives have been met. For the research purposes hypotheses were stated, assuming that the care provision is sufficient for minor medical conditions treatment and medics are competent to provide quality health care at events for children. The stated hypotheses were confirmed after processing the data obtained form questionnaires. The research survey proved that at the events organized for children there are mostly minor health troubles and these conditions are adequately treated by medics present at recreational activities. Information resulting form this thesis could serve the organizers of recreational activities. It could help in choosing medics providing health care.
